**JPay Policy Changes**
We wanted to inform you that the Georgia Department of Corrections policy 204.10 “Offender Use of the Goal Device and JPay Kiosks” will be put into effect on 10/1/2018. This policy will include the current JPay policies as well as outline new protocols, including the Approved Email List.
It is important to know that the procedure for corresponding with your loved ones utilizing JPay email services has changed (including Snap n’ Send and attachments). Effective 10/1/2018, the offender will only be able to have email correspondence with individuals who have been approved and added to the Offender's Approved Email List. This Approved Email List may contain up to 12 loved ones. The Offender will need to complete the Facility/Center Email List form and provide it to their counselor.
Due to this policy change, the offender will be allowed to make changes to their Approved Email List from now until the end of October. After that time period, they can only make changes to their Approved Email List six months after the initial list is approved, and only during the months of May and November. They will need to contact their counselor and provide the necessary documentation when making future changes to this list.
They will still retain all mail items that they received prior to the policy change – even items sent by those not currently on their Approved Email List.
