Contraband Arrests at Rogers and Georgia State Prisons
On June 29, at Rogers State Prison, Food Service Manager Pamela Conner was arrested by Tattnall County Sheriff's Office for introducing contraband into the facility. A search of her person resulted in 04 vacuum sealed packages of Marijuana weighing 272.6 grams. An unknown amount of tobacco was also recovered from her vehicle.
On the same day, a search was conducted on Food Service Supervisor Samantha Miller. No contraband was found; however, the Canine Unit received indication of contraband inside of her vehicle. Miller admitted during an interview that the contraband found on Food Service Manager Pamela Conner was provided by her. She also admitted to introducing contraband into the facility on several other occasions. Miller was arrested by Tattnall County Sheriff’s Officer for introducing contraband into the facility.
On July 1, during a supervised search of vehicles entering the parking lot of Georgia State Prison, the Canine Unit received indication of contraband on a vehicle that was driven by visitor Amber Lee Tucker. Security Staff conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered 7.3 grams of methamphetamine, 3.1 grams of ecstasy pills and 3.7 grams of suspected cocaine. Visitor Tucker was arrested by Tattnall County Sheriffs' Department.
