Contraband Arrests at Multiple State Prisons
On April 15, the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office advised that two unidentified females were arrested by the Arlington Police Department after being observed placing a trash in the bucket of a front-end loader located at the Arlington inmate mobile construction site. The trash bag contained contraband consisting of Bugler tobacco, rolling papers, cigarette lighters, and black tape, all inside of three (03) gallon size Ziploc bags. The contraband is in the custody of the Arlington Police Department.
On April 14 at Calhoun State Prison, Security staff requested Visitor Kwan Banks & a minor child to empty their pockets before entering the prison. The child was found to have 2.7 grams of crack cocaine inside a clear plastic bag on his person. Visitor Banks was arrested by Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
On April 11 at Macon State Prison, while conducting a search of an offender, security staff recovered four money orders totaling $150. Visitor Patricia Suekamling admitted to bringing the contraband inside the facility. She was arrested by Macon County Sheriff’s Office.
On April 10 at Macon State Prison, Officer Keshawna Robinson & Officer Micalya Williamson were arrested by the Macon County Sheriff's Office after an investigation was completed by the Office of Professional Standards.
On April 9 at Rogers State Prison, civilian Tavarus Brown was placed under arrest by the Tattnall County Sheriff's Office after a traffic stop. While searching his vehicle, a rubber football was found containing the following contraband: 15 bundles of tobacco, 2 I-phones and 1 bundle of rolling paper.
