Contraband Arrests at Coastal and Baldwin State Prisons
On March 31, at Coastal State Prison, the canine dogs gave indication of the presence of contraband in a Ford Windstar van, which belonged to Visitor Melvin Tucker. Visitor Tucker’s vehicle was searched and the following contraband was discovered in his glove compartment: 2.6 grams of marijuana concealed in a clear plastic bag. Visitor Tucker was searched and no other contraband was discovered. Visitor Tucker was arrested by Savannah Metro Police Department.
On March 31, at Coastal State Prison, the canine dogs gave indication of the presence of contraband in a silver Saturn Aura, which belonged to Visitor Lashonda Fallaway. Visitor Fallaway’s vehicle was searched and the following contraband was discovered: 02 ecstasy pills, unwrapped and unweighted, in her handbag, and a marijuana cigarette, unwrapped and unweighted, in the back door on the driver’s side. Visitor Fallaway was arrested by Savannah Metro Police Department.
On April 2, at Baldwin State Prison, Visitor Lisa Hampton was arrested by Baldwin County Police after the Sergeant witnessed her passing a small round object wrapped in black tape to an offender. Upon seizure and investigation of the item, it was found to contain an unknown amount of what was believed to be Crystal Meth. Visitor Hampton was transported to Baldwin County Jail for pending charges of possession of contraband across guard lines.
