Contraband Arrest at Montgomery State Prison

As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 1,002 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.

On November 5, at Montgomery State Prison, the GDC Office of Professional Standards (OPS) received
information in reference to a drop that was going to be made at the facility. Lyons City Police Department
stopped the car fitting the description and OPS assisted in a search of a vehicle The officer noticed several
rolls of black electrical tape, marijuana, tobacco and Xanax inside the truck. It is believed that these items
were intended for Montgomery State Prison. Civiliams Quida Reynolds, Emma Evans and Belinda Floyd
were arrested.
