Contraband Arrest at Georgia State Prison

As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 979 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.

On July 19, Shinola Bibbs was arrested by Tattnall County Sheriff's Office. As she attempted to enter Georgia State Prison, the following contraband was discovered on Visitor Bibb’s person: 4.3 ounces of marijuana wrapped inside 2 balls of aluminum foil.
