Contraband Arrest at Georgia State Prison
On March 5, visitor Sabrina Hale attempted to enter Georgia State Prison for visitation when a strong odor of marijuana was detected by the Portal Sergeant. The sergeant asked visitor Hale if she had any contraband on her person, and visitor Hale admitted that she did. Visitor Hale gave consent to be searched, and the following contraband was discovered on her person: an unknown amount of marijuana wrapped in clear plastic. Visitor Hale’s vehicle was searched by the Institutional Investigator, and no additional contraband was found. Visitor Hale was placed under arrest by Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office.
