As of July 2010, The GDC Office of Professional Standards, in conjunction with local & federal law enforcement partners, have investigated or arrested approximately 419 staff and civilians for introducing contraband into prisons throughout the state.
1) On November 18, 2012, a Rogers State Prison employee noticed that visitor Jacques Ogletree asked her child to put a trash bag into a trash can outside the front bunker. Staff looked in the bag and found what appeared to be dirty diapers. Upon further investigation, staff found 6.3 ounces of marijuana. Visitor Ogletree was arrested by Tattnall County Sheriffï¿½s Office.
The Department of Corrections is committed to identifying and pursuing prosecution of those persons who attempt to introduce contraband into state facilities.
