Contraband Arrests at GDC Facilities
On Thursday, June 2, 2011, Probationer Kevin Scott Baker and Laticia Lopez were arrested in Reidsville. Baker was observed walking near Rogers State Prison and stopped for questioning. He told officers he was dropped off by Lopez and left a bag of contraband in a field. The bag was discovered and contained tobacco, lighters, rolling paper and cell phones. When Lopez returned to pick up Baker, she was arrested. The Tattnall County Sheriff's Office assisted.
On Thursday, June 2, 2011, Heather McMichael, Niesa Marie Strace, Ashley Lei Swanger and Probationer Amanda Foster were arrested at Rogers State Prison in Reidsville. The women were riding in the same vehicle and observed on prison property. Once questioned, one of the women told officers they were dropping off contraband. A search of the vehicle produced tobacco, cell phones and electrical tape. The Tattnall County Sheriff's Office assisted.
On Saturday, June 4, 2011, Allison Barnes, Angel Wimberly and Parolee Casey Baker were arrested in Reidsville. They were riding in the same vehicle near Rogers State Prison and stopped by the Tattnall County Sheriff's Office. During a search of the vehicle, staff from Rogers State Prison observed Parolee Maurice McFadden walking out of a wooded area. A search of the area produced tobacco, smokeless tobacco and rolling paper. McFadden was also arrested. The Tattnall County Sheriff's Office assisted.
