Pulaski State Prison Hosts F&CB Graduation

18 offenders receive Program Completion Certificates

FORSYTH, Ga. – On October 20, Pulaski State Prison hosted a Faith and Character Based (F&CB) Program graduation, where 18 graduates received a Certificate of Completion. All offenders in the F&CB program were allowed to invite their family members to the event, and 136 family members attended.

“The goal of the Faith and Character Based program is to allow offenders to strengthen their mind, body and spirit in an environment that promotes positive change,” said Commissioner Bryson.  “After 12 months of hard work and dedication, these 18 women are well equipped for their ultimate transition back into society.”

The F&CB program is a secular program that focuses on personal and spiritual growth and development. The curriculum is divided in to four phases: Foundation, Discovery, Transformation, and Transition. Upon completion, graduates have the opportunity to volunteer as a mentor to future participants.

Pulaski is one of several GDC facilities that hosts a F&CB dorm. The dorm provides a pro-social, programmatic environment for change for offenders who voluntarily request to participate in the program.
