FORSYTH, Ga. – Condemned murderer Robert Earl Butts, Jr. is scheduled for execution by lethal injection at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, at Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson. Butts was sentenced to death in 1998 for the murder of Donovan Corey Parks.

Media witnesses for the execution are Russ Bynum, Associated Press - Atlanta Bureau, Randall Savage, 13 WMAZ, Rhonda Cook, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Billy Hobbs, The Union-Recorder, Jeffrey Paul Davis, AM 1690, WMLB.

Butts requested a last meal of bacon cheeseburger with American and cheddar cheese, ribeye steak, six chicken tenders, seasoned french fries, cheesecake and strawberry lemonade.

The Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison is located 45 minutes south of Atlanta off Interstate 75. From Atlanta, take exit 201 (Ga.
