County Transitional Centers
The county transitional center program enables county prison inmates to transition back into the county of residence with a job, secure place to live, and better opportunities for success. The participants follow and adhere to the same rules and procedures as residents in state transitional centers.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the County Transitional program, inmates must:
- Meet all county prison selection criteria
Placement of an inmate at the county transitional center shall also be based on established criteria set forth by the Georgia Department of Corrections.
Resident Responsibilities
County transitional center residents are responsible for:
- Room and board (cost is determined by the county prison)
- Medical expenses
- Other required costs
